For non-skiers we are offering nice winter hiking and tobogganing trails from our house through the fields and forests of our area. Sightseeing in the surroundingsInnsbruck : Sonnenhof is only a 15-min drive from the town centre. The public transport takes you directly to the centre. A stone's throw from the capital but in the countryside! Enjoy the flair of Innsbruck, a great town offering lots of culture, art and sports facilities. Innsbruck offers a varied program for the evening. In addition to the Golden Roof and the Ambras Castle, Innsbruck gained a new famous landmark - the Bergisel ski jump stadium. Moreover you can enjoy shopping in this city. The Maria-Theresien street and the Rathauspassage are ideal for shopping. Silver Mine in Schwaz: Follow in the historical footsteps of the over 10,000 “Bergknappen” of Schwaz, who looked for silver and copper and made Tyrol, at the time, one of the richest countries of Europe. Schwaz was at one time the largest mining metropolis in the world with over 85% of the world’s silver production. Descend 800 meters under the earth in the legendary Silver Mine of Schwaz! From the inside of a 400 million year old reef you can admire the shining Fahlerz (silver / copper ore), which was incredibly sought after at the time, and the famous "Wasserhebekunst", or water lifting method, which at that time was a marvel of technology! Zillertal Railway: Would you like to take a trip into the past? A nostalgic steam locomotive takes you on a journey through the picturesque Zillertal. From the train station in Jenbach the train is going to the direction of Mayrhofen. As a special treat, the Zillertal Municipal Transport Service offers "Hobby-Trips" between Mayrhofen and Fügen, in which you can live out your childhood dream of being a locomotive engineer.
